A duty that is unsaid yet accepted. Our duty is to protect mother earth and reduce pollution to as much as possible. Not only does it make it a better place for us to live in, but also the most valuable gift to the future generations. We can do this by using eco friendly material in every facet of our life. Simple, yet how much do we understand the importance of it.

We need to use lubricating oils for our engines. It is essential for it to run smoothly, efficiently as well as to reduce the normal wear and tear of the engines and its parts. Green oil or eco friendly oils significantly reduces emissions, exists longer, protects the parts of the engine, reduces fuel consumption and therefore helps save, and prevents environmental pollution hugely. Earth friendly engine lubricating oils can withstand sludging and chemical breakdown of the properties which in turn keep the engine clean and free form impurities. It also prevents oxidation and unnecessary heating of the engine. It is researched fact that motor oil producers recommend oil changes every 3,000 – 4000 miles, eco friendly motor oil function well up to 35,000 miles or for a full year. The difference is significant and noticeable.

Given the increasing levels of pollution the world over, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Pollution Prevention Requirements advises the use of earth friendly lubricating engine oils. It assures a cleaner nation in the next 20 to 25 years. Given the recent oil spill, it was evident that a gallon of oil can make almost one million gallons of water dangerous to drink and 38 ppm of oil can destroy the sea life. It is but to natural the badly disposed used oil or emissions is extremely harmful to the ecology as well as the life in it.

Every year nearly 700 million gallons of motor oil are used and are emitted through the vehicles. Undoubtedly this increases the pollution levels. Of all the type of oils available in the market earth friendly engine lubricating oils shows less loss than the others. This reduces air pollution a lot lesser than the use of other oils. Also, the usage of earth friendly engine oil lubrication increases fuel economy by 3-6% as against the use of other motor oils.

Having said this, it definitely a welcome change to switch to earth friendly engine lubricating oils. Save Earth, Save Nature, Save Lives!

It is everybody’s responsibility to maintain a clean community. One has to find both residential and commercial ways to help clean the environment.

In your daily routine life, we often ignore the concept of waste management and the concept of a green environment. We also ignore the fact that even if we use green oil for things that we need to do, we may reduce the pollution in the environment given the use of environment friendly fuel. We just need to be more conscious of waste management within a commercial enterprise and be responsible and take necessary measures.

Waste can be defined into two categories, disposable waste and recyclable waste. Disposable waste are generally those that may be disposed of after use, but disposable material is its properties that allow it to be disposed of in a way that does not damage the environment in any form or spread pollution. The concept of green oil is important here, that helps dispose of waste without itself damaging the environment after combustion. Therefore, it is important to turn to higher usage of green oil by the municipalities to help protect the environment.

It is essential that the government spread the work of using green oil for all commercial purposes. The municipalities too should convert to the usage of green products to help clean the environment. In addition to this, there are eco friendly programs that are being designed on an ongoing basis for to be implemented by the municipal services. Making an early decision to turn around your company’s policy to that of a green one could be both economical and environmentally beneficial.

World over the preference is green and environment friendly products, especially those that are not harmful to the environment. Till very recently the lubricants used in the automobile and the industrial world have been made of non bio-gradable products, thereby posing to be a threat to the environment and not being eco friendly.

Recently with everyone everywhere being conscious about the environment they live in, lubricants are beginning to get environment friendly. They are being commonly called the bio-lubricants which is replacing the non bio gradable fossil based lubricants for automobile as well as the industrial purposes. In simple terms bio lubricants are all those types of lubricants which are bio gradable and are considered non toxic and prove to be harmless to the environment. Typically, a bio lubricant is available as vegetable oil-based or as synthetic lubes manufactured from mineral oil-based products.

Bio friendly lubes contain biological materials or domestic agricultural materials such as plant or forestry materials. The advantage of using environment friendly lubes is that it reduces the carbon remnants and other crude oil materials in the nature. Where thousands of tons of crude and industrial oils are discharged every year into our water resources, polluting out aquatic environment and posing to be a major threat to the flora and fauna, it is essential to switch to environment friendly lubricants.

In spite of the inherent advantages the environment friendly lubricant industry is still in the infancy stage, with a lot more left to be done. Companies are investing thousands of dollars in research and development to invent environment friendly lubricants that benefit the automobile and well as the other industries and at the same time function as well as per expectations. They are trying to come up with lubricants that do not contain any polluting component and rather use cellulose extracts from the environment around us as a lubricant base.

Fortunately, there are means of limiting the amount of crude oil consumed each year. One easy way is to re-refine oil and use it again. Petroleum products such as gasoline that used as fuel cannot be re-refined, obviously, because to be used they must be burned. But lubricating oil is different. As it works, it is not used up. It becomes contaminated by dust, metal scrapings, chemicals, and water, but when these impurities are removed from the used oil, it becomes as good as new. Re-refined oil lubricants, such as PureGreen Motor Oils, can actually provide the same or better quality performance as lubricants made from newly refined crude oil.

A single gallon of used motor oil can be re-refined to create 2.5 quarts of usable lubricating oil. To make the same amount from scratch, 42 gallons of crude oil are required. The Environmental Protection Agency has stated that if all the American do-it-yourself oil changers would recycle their motor oil instead of disposing of it, that used oil could be re-refined to create enough motor oil for 50 million cars each year.

By using, refining, and reusing the same lubricant over and over again, Americans will be able to properly maintain their vehicles while dramatically decreasing the amount of crude oil used to create new motor oil. You get to keep driving, and the total petroleum used each year goes down. Everyone wins.

1) It decreases wear on moving engine parts. When these parts rub against one another, they begin to grind each other down; correct lubrication can prevent this from happening.

2) It reduces friction between moving parts, thus minimizing power loss. Extra energy must be exerted if there is too much resistance between one part and another. Sufficient lubrication helps to maximize the energy efficiency of an engine.

3) It acts as a cooling agent by removing heat from engine parts. As oil circulates through an engine, it absorbs heat and transfers it to the oil pan where it can be dissipated into the air. Without this type of cooling, an engine can quickly overheat.

4) It acts as a cleansing agent. Circulating oil will pick up dirt, carbon, and other foreign matter from engine parts, depositing them in the oil pan or on the filter. These particulates might otherwise prevent the engine from functioning properly.

In order to perform any of these tasks as efficiently as possible, though, lubricating oil must meet certain conditions. It must have the appropriate viscosity (meaning it is not too thick and not too thin), it must contain certain additives (which prevent corrosion, rust, foaming, and more), and, most importantly, it must be clean.

As soon as fresh oil is put into an engine, it begins to lose its effectiveness as a lubricating agent, due largely to the fact that it serves to clean the engine. Dust particles and metal scrapings that are collected by the circulating oil cannot all be removed by the oil filter, and as they build up they create more and more friction between moving parts. Any water that forms on the engine can mix with oil to form a thick black sludge. Fuel combustion can produce carbon and other products that pollute the oil, and even the lubricant itself can begin to break down over time as a result of the high temperatures in an engine. After a certain amount of use, it is vital that the contaminated lubricating oil in an engine be drained and replaced.

If the filthy oil is properly re-refined, it can be used again with the same effectiveness as before. PureGreen lubricating oils are made by taking used engine oil, removing any impurities, and restoring it to a pristine, efficient state. And as soon as the re-refined oil has the proper viscosity, additives, and level of cleanliness again, it is ready to get back to work lubricating your engine.

If you were to use raw petroleum as fuel or engine lubricant, you would likely end up with a hot stinky mess. Before it can be used, crude oil must be cleaned, processed, and divided into its constituent parts. Crude oil contains many different lengths of hydrocarbon chains, so many different things can be made from it. Shorter chains make up lighter fuels like propane and gasoline, while longer chains eventually become lubricating oil, fuel oil, and other residual products.

Oil refineries split the petroleum and carefully process it to eventually create the usable substances we are so familiar with. The crude oil is first divided into various components, either through distillation, a complex process of boiling and condensing the oil, or through chemical processing, which enables refiners to actually split hydrocarbons into shorter chains as needed. Once they have been separated, the fractions are treated to remove impurities. They can then be re-combined and added to other mixtures to create any number of petroleum products.

Just as oil refineries can distill and treat crude oil so it can be used properly, used motor oil can be refined again to return it to that usable state. While the process of refining crude oil is slightly different from the one used to clean up used lubricants, the same principles apply.

Used oil is distilled to remove any water or chemicals that may have been added to it. Dirt, metal scrapings, and other contaminants are removed, and additives are included to improve the efficiency of the lubricant. Some of the additives included in PureGreen Supreme Motor Oil, for example, help protect against rust and corrosion. The result of both processes—the original refining and the re-refining—is always clean oil which is ready to be inspected for certification and customer use.

In order to be API (American Petroleum Institute) certified, re-refined oil lubricants must meet the same standards as lubricants made directly from newly refined petroleum. All lubricants are carefully tested to ensure their purity and functionality. PureGreen Lubricating Oils have met the standards set by the API, which means their quality is as high as or higher than virgin lubricants. And because the re-refining process is so effective, most lubricants can be cleaned up and used again and again without any loss in efficiency.
